EntropyPress was established circa 1996 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA during the humble beginnings of the World Wide Web. At that time it disseminated ‘zines, hardbound artist books, CDs, and innovative web content. It has since matured into an honest-to-goodness publisher of Contemporary New Journalism.
New Journalism seeks to communicate facts through narrative storytelling and literary techniques. This style is also described as creative nonfiction, intimate journalism, or literary nonfiction.
Truman Capote, Norman Mailer, Hunter S. Thompson, Joan Didion are considered among the vanguard of this genre.
