CGNWhy the United States is pushing for NATURAL GAS powered cars in Afghanistan is beyond me. Even if it wasn’t an unusual concept, the gas station should have cost no more than $500,000.

Afghanistan sealI’d like to take this opportunity to remind you that the next president – no matter who gets in – will not be able to stop stuff like this. Only Congress can. “Additionally, the average Afghani, who earns around $690 annually, wouldn’t be financially able to convert his or her gasoline-powered car to natural gas. Estimates find that a conversion costs between $700 and $800 per car. While the U.S. government paid for more than 120 vehicles to be converted so the gas station could be used, SIGAR couldn’t find any other cars that were converted.”
