Try out my New Audio Book!!!

All I know is that having my audio book done up by a professional narrator has just blown my mind! When Security Through Absurdity first hit the scene in 2014, with Book One: Little Yellow Stickies, people began asking me if the story was available as an audio book.   Naturally, I didn’t pay this inquiry much attention. I had brand-spankin’-new, shiny, hard bound and soft cover books to wave around! Next, because Security Through Absurdity is on reading lists in the Rhode Island and Connecticut Public School Systems, the high school...

YOUR CONVENTION PASS

YOUR CONVENTION PASS

It was four years ago that I had my party.  I wanted to show everyone the hat and the outfits that I had gotten for the convention.  I also wanted help coming up with what it was going to say on the card that I was going to be passing around.  The people that I had invited, I could trust them. As I remember, I was actually kind of scared. The news had been hyping up the fact that they were transferring prisoners to make room for all the protestors they anticipated arresting.  That security was going to be extremely tight. Police where coming...

What Are The Odds?!

I’m 50 /50 on whether this guy is the luckiest guy alive or extremely unlucky. Have you heard about 19 year old Mason Wells, an American Mormon, traveling missionary, who survived the terrorist bombing in Brussels recently? Amazingly, Mason also survived the Boston Marathon Bombing where his mother was running in the race.  (FYI – a major motion picture is in the works so that people will never forget the horrors of that day.) What really threw it over the edge for me was  when I found out that Mason was also on the scene in Paris...

U.S. Wastes More Than $40 Million on a (natural) Gas Station in Afghanistan

Why the United States is pushing for NATURAL GAS powered cars in Afghanistan is beyond me. Even if it wasn’t an unusual concept, the gas station should have cost no more than $500,000. I’d like to take this opportunity to remind you that the next president – no matter who gets in – will not be able to stop stuff like this. Only Congress can. And even then, I’m not sure Congress can do anything. This was a loan given by USAID. USAID is a bank most closely aligned with the Department of State. U.S. Wastes More Than...

DOES YOUR VOTE REALLY COUNT?

DOES YOUR VOTE REALLY COUNT?

For big elections, the television networks often rely on a private consortium called the National Election Pool (NEP). NEP does projections and predictions. NEP makes some calls for the television networks, but NEP is composed of CBS, CNN, FOX, NBC, ABC, and AP. It could hardly be called an independent source of information for those networks. NEP has AP (Associated Press) do the actual vote tabulating, and NEP also contracts work out to Edison Media Research and Mitofsky International to do exit polls and projections based on those polls. In...

Will They Vaccinate You? Part II

All I know is, making it impossible for a child to attend school if he or she has NOT been injected with a vaccine is a pretty heavy. It’s even more heavy when said vaccine is for a sexually transmitted disease. Couple that with the fact that you are making all 11 year olds get it when it appears that minority groups in this age demographic are the group at risk. Yes, for years and years it has been known that the more sexual partners a female has, the more often cell grown abnormality shows up (which can, if left untreated, lead to cancer)....

Will They Vaccinate You? Pt 1

The state of Rhode Island is mandating that all children, boys and girls, entering 7th grade (11-12 years old) get a three shot series of a vaccine which is advertised to stop cervical cancer. Now seeing as Anglian Jolie famously had her otherwise healthy breasts chopped off in order to stave off possible breast cancer, (http://hollywoodlife.com/2014/03/13/angelina-jolie-surgery-ovaries-removed-cancer-double-mastectomy/ ) I can see where people might think, “you know, if Angelia Jolie can do that, this shot thing seems pretty simple.” I’m not...

BLACK FRIDAY messes with your head

BLACK FRIDAY messes with your head

I don’t know about you, but I remember hearing the term “Black Friday” on the news and thinking something horrible had happened.  I actually remember the feeling in the pit of my stomach when I heard it.  I was thinking how sad it was that some tragedy would befall someone right after Thanksgiving. My cousin, who had worked in retail for many years, clued me in.  She told me all about how miserable it was with all the shoppers coming in and basically trashing the place.  But she also told me it was good because, then, after...
